Great story and well done for the nuns to acknowledge you courage!

I would bite the world for you. 🙂 I like that – I’ve never heard that expression before.

There’s a back story to it. So I am one of those fiercely loyal types. Since childhood really. When I was about 6 or 7 years old, an older girl in school would bully my friend and try to take away her lunch. So one day while she was doing this, I actually bit her. Very hard. And it became an issue at school. My parents were called and I was really afraid that the nuns ( I studied in a catholic school) would reprimand me quite severely. They did but they also said that I had displayed courage and loyalty and stood up for my friend and so I would be excused. This story is quite popular among my friends and family and has assumed many fantastical forms now, all very far from the truth, of course. But I guess that trait remains. If I love you and someone else is bullying you, I will bite them. Sometimes even literally.

I love the story. Sounds like the nuns were very wise, too – they told you off but didn’t punish you for it under the circumstances.
